Dr. Ali’s Lineage

During the late 1800s, Dr. Shaikh Abdul Hameed Ali, the great-grandfather of Dr. Ali, was a practicing physician and homeopath based in Calcutta. He is credited with originating the concept of Integrated Medicine, which involved combining the best of conventional medical practices with his unique methods of diagnosis. His ability to effectively treat ailments using this approach made him increasingly popular among patients seeking his treatments.

During the 1970s, my eldest uncle, Dr. Mosaraf Ali, was completing his medical studies at the International Centre of Medical Research in Moscow (then part of the USSR). It was during this time that he became interested in the body's innate healing power and its ability to cure diseases on its own. He didn't realize then that his research would lead him to continue the work of his grandfather in the field of integrated health. Dr. Ali reached out to my father, Dr. Mohsin Ali, who was also studying at the time in Singapore, and the two decided to explore this relatively unknown approach of integrating different diagnostic and treatment methods.

While attending a conference in London in 1991, a fortuitous encounter with HRH The Prince of Wales revealed that he shared a deep interest in various traditional methods of healing. This chance meeting spurred the conceptualization of the first Integrated Medical Centre, which was situated in the heart of London's medical district. The centre was home to 33 renowned practitioners and offered cutting-edge treatments to high-profile individuals from around the world. Such was the centre's popularity in the 2000s that it had a minimum 6-month waitlist for an initial consultation appointment.

Royalty, celebrities, and footballers were among the frequent visitors to the centre, and it was not unusual to see TV personalities in the waiting room, all seeking to experience the healing power of The Ali Technique. For many, the centre represented a last resort, a place where the tired and exhausted could find hope and healing.
